I haven't used UltraFractal yet, but I've seen some of the vast variety of things it's capable of, and I plan to try it eventually. I've used similar, simpler programs before, like Fractint (sooooooo old) and ChaosPro. For now, though, I'm still learning Apophysis, and I'm afraid of losing my newfound skills if I stop before they've fully sunk in. Besides, I'm enjoying it--and that's the important thing. :)
